Your responsibilities
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?
Project Management & Delivery
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex hydrogen infrastructure projects from conception through to completion and commissioning (EPC)
- Develop and maintain project baselines, including scope, schedule, and cost plans
- Plan and monitor project budgets, ensuring cost control and alignment with financial targets
- Oversee design reviews, ensuring technical deliverables meet project requirements
- Proactively identify and manage project risks and issues, implementing corrective actions as required, as well as managing Design Change Requests
- Oversee procurement and contract management activities
Project Management Office (PMO)
- Maintain and continously improve PMO processes within our ISO9001-certified Quality Management System
- Forecast and track resource utilisation across the project portfolio
- Prepare and analyse monthly project portfolio management reports
- Capture and process lessons learned to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage contracts and claims
Proposal Support
- Derive engineering and delivery requirements from tender documents and customer interactions
- Estimate time, cost, and resource needs together with the relevant engineering disciplines and using historical data for internal and external purposes
- Support proposal preparation by developing project execution plans and high-level schedules
Procurement support
- Support the negotiation with suppliers and service providers
- Manage contracts and claims
- Ensure follow-up on supplier non-conformities within our ISO 9001 process.
- Manage and track the delivery process of our suppliers and service providers until completion, working closely with our Engineering and Technical Operations teams
Your profile
WHAT DO YOU BRING TO THE TABLE?
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing the design, procurement, and/or delivery of infrastructure or construction projects (EPC)
- Ability to constructively challenge engineering assumptions
- Supplier management and negotiation skills
- Background in the hydrogen industry is a plus
- Experience with ISO 9001 requirements and audit preparation is a plus.
- Experience in project risk assessment techniques and implementation of mitigation strategies
- Background in change management processes in the context of scope and requirements definition
- Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary internal and external teams
- Knowledge of German construction permitting schemes is an advantage
- Understanding of the hydrogen production value chain is beneficial
- Proficiency with MS Project
Training and Education
- Engineering degree in process, mechanical, electrical, systems, civil, or construction engineering (or a comparable discipline)
- Project management certification (PMI - PMP or CAPM), GAQM - APM, IPMA, or equivalent)
Personality
- Independent, structured, and detail-oriented working style
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse, multi-disciplinary and international teams
Language
- Good command of German (minimum C1) and English, both written and spoken
